Then....last night we found these lovely creatures. ....
We're not 100% sure they are termites, but it's looking that way. Tomorrow the professionals are coming to check things out, so we'll see what they have to say! We're learning there are so many unexpected things that come with being a home owner!

Oh no! I hope it's not termites. We had them in India. Fortunately, it's pretty painless, you just gotta leave for a few days while they exterminate. At least you caught them early!
Oh the joy's of owning a home! I hope it's not termites! That happened to us about 4 weeks after we moved in!
No termites..just carpenter ants! whew!!
YAY! I'm glad to hear you're safe from wood-eating insects!!! The summer brings out all the yucky creatures. :/
